ANTI-STROBE BALLAST (600 and 700 Series Only)
Anti-strobe ballasts are necessary when an operator is using the light around turning operations.
Standard magnetic ballasts can make a spinning object look as if it is motionless. This "strobing effect" can be hazardous
if the operator grasps the spinning object. Anti-strobe ballasts operate at very high frequency, eliminating the strobing effect.
All 600 and 700 Series lights come with the anti-strobing ballast. |
12 & 24 VOLT MODELS AVAILABLE
Twin tube and single tube models are available in low voltage versions. The low voltage electronic ballasts
are anti-strobe units and are protected inside the lighthead. 12 volt models come standard with 25' cord without
plug. Inline on-off switch is optional. |
FULL-LENGTH ALUMINUM BACKBONE / VINYL REFLECTOR
All mounted lights and most portable series lights come standard with a full-length aluminum backbone
(600 and 700 Series) or vinyl backbone (200 and 500 Series). The aluminum backbone is light weight and
yet extremely rigid. The extra structural rigidity makes the light last longer in industrial applications.
The backbone also allows all interior components to be mounted to it for ease of servicing the unit. The
vinyl backbone helps to direct light away from the operator's eyes. |

"O" RINGS INSIDE LIGHTHEAD
All units come with "O" rings inside the outer tube. The "O" rings compress against the outer tube to provide a
water tight moisture barrier. However, it is not recommended that the light be submerged. |
OPTIONAL GFCI PLUG
An optional Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) plug is available for all 120v models. The GFCI plug protects the user
from shock and comes with test button and reset button. |
CHOICE OF OUTER TUBES
Tough-Shield - When a virtually unbreakable outer tube is desired. This outer tube is not recommended when
lubricants, chemicals, or hot chips are present.
Chem-Shield - Resistant to most lubricants and many chemicals, the Chem-Shield should
be used in applications such as CNC machines.
Chip-Shield - The best defense against flying hot chips. Chip-Shield should be chosen for
turning applications such as lathes and screw machines. Chip-Shield is only available on 36 watt 600 Series and 25 watt
700 series mounted lights. |
